PURPOSE:To surely execute the continuity test of an ATM channel even in the case of a cellularized message in respect of an ATM continuity test system to execute the continuity test of the ATM channel. CONSTITUTION:This system is constituted of the ATM channel 1 in which an ATM cell is switched, a message processing means 10 which is connected to the ATM channel 1 and executes the processing of a message unit, and a channel testing means 20 which executes the reception check of a test cell by generating the test cell and sending it to the ATM channel 1 through the message processing means 10, and simultaneously, taking in the exit side output of the ATM channel 1 to its inside through the message processing means 10.
