PURPOSE:To smooth the sorting of plate-shaped sheets by arranging a conveying mechanism to intermit and restart the conveyance of the plate-shaped sheets in a bypass part to make a part of a belt conveyor bypass its conveyance route downward. CONSTITUTION:Plate-shaped sheets 26 cut into a fixed size by a slitter or the like are held between a pair of upper and lower belt conveyors 60 and 62, and conveyed. When they are transferred onto a belt conveyor 24, they are continuously conveyed in an partially overlapped state. At this stage, when two roller members 46 arranged in a bypass part 44 of the conveyor 24 are rotated synchronously with the conveyor 24, the plate-shaped sheets 26 passing on he roller members 46 can be smoothly conveyed. Meanwhile, when the plateshaped sheets 26 passing through the roller members 46 are accumulated into a fixed number and sorted out from succeeding ones, the roller members 46 are intermitted, and succeeding plate-shaped sheets 26 are stopped as riding on the roller members 46 for sorting. |
