PURPOSE:To shorten the time of decision involved in the start of control by deciding the fault of the program control and the synchronous control of machine operations with the start of synchronous control within the set time of a timer which is set in response to the start of a motor. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer controls a motor 1 of an electrophotographic copying machine which is controlled by a program. When a motor 1 is actuated, the revolving speed is detected 3-6. Then the synchronous control is started between the program control and the machine operation when the revolving speed of the motor 1 reaches a prescribed level. In this case, a timer is set at a fixed time (such as 2sec, etc.) with the start of the motor 1. If said synchronous control is started within the set time of the timer, it is decided that the motor 1 has no fault. Then the control operation is carried out. |
