PURPOSE:To decrease electric power required for electrical resistance welding and prevent heat effect on a separating wall near a connecting part by applying ultrasonic welding to a connecting members extending to a hole of the separating wall from both cells. CONSTITUTION:Electrode groups 3 and 3' are accommodated in cells 1 and 1' which are partitioned by a separating wall 2. Coupling plates 4 and 4' connecting electrode plates having same polarity, and connecting members 5 and 5' installed at one end of the coupling plates 4 and 4' consist of lead alloy. The connecting members 5 and 5' from coupling members 7 and 7' extending to a through hole installed in the separating wall 2. Coupling members 7 and 7' are melted by applying ultrasonic wave from outside to bond the connecting members 5 and 5'. |
