The invention relates to a method for testing a haemodialysis membrane (14) of a dialyser (12), which has a blood chamber (18) and a dialysis fluid chamber (16). In order to ensure that the membrane (12) does not have any defects or leaks, which are dependent on the direction of the pressure gradient between the dialysis fluid chamber (16) and the blood chamber (18), according to the invention in one test step an excess pressure is established in the blood chamber (18) filled with air, while in a second test step a partial vacuum is applied to the blood chamber (18) of the dialyser (12). <IMAGE> |
