PURPOSE:To improve the strength of the rear part of a battery by a method wherein a spare tire is set in a state to be inclined forward upward and the size in a longitudinal direction thereof is reduced, the upper end of the spare tire is positioned in a level lower than that of the upper surface of a battery mounting part, a floor is flattened, and a cross bar is coupled to the upper part of the rear buckle head of the battery mounting part. CONSTITUTION:A spare tire 7 is held in a state to be inclined forward upward by means of a bracket 55 and thereby, the space in a longitudinal direction of a spare tire mounting space at the rear of a battery containing box 26 can be reduced. Further, since the upper end of the spare tire 7 is positioned in a level lower than that of the upper end of the containing box 26, a cargo room floor can be flattened. On the rear surface of a battery rear buckle head 32, a spare tire setting cross member 57 by a backward downward plate joining body on which the spare tire 7 is placed spans between right and left damper bases 35. This constitution ensures strength at the rear of a battery 3 and improves body rigidity especially against twist. |
