PURPOSE:To improve the strength, especially body rigidity, of the front part of a battery at the rear of a floor by arranging a cross member below a floor and causing the cross member to span a space between right and left center pillars. CONSTITUTION:A battery containing box 26 is formed at the front half part of a rear floor 14 and a battery 3 is mounted therein. A middle floor cross member 22 in the shape of a box in cross section extending in a horizontal direction is joined with the lower part of the rear floor 14. A battery front bulk head 31 is situated above the middle cross member 22 and a battery front cross member 41 is welded and joined to the rear surface thereof. The two ends of the battery front cross member 41 are welded and joined to right and left center pillar parts 34 and 34. The above two cross members 22 and 41 causes improvement of the strength, especially body rigidity against torsion, of the front part of the battery 3. |
