<p>PURPOSE:To manufacture Al metal of high purity containing less hydrogen and oxide inclusion by executing refining by blowing the specific refining agent after removing the slag generated in re-melting the Al metal containing sheet- like scrap in the atmosphere, and successively filtering the refined metal by a filter. CONSTITUTION:The Al metal material containing >=15% of sheet-like scrap of Al or Al alloy are heated and melted in the atmospheric furnace such as a reverberatory furnace. The generated slag is removed, or a exothermic flux consisting of a halogenide containing no water of crystallization or moisture is added to the slag and sufficient stirring is executed and the granular Al melted body in the slag is separated and dropped in the lower molten Al and recovered. Then, the slag is removed and the molten Al is moved to the holding furnace. After re-refining is executed by blowing the refining agent consisting of the halogenide, H2 or the like in the molten Al is degassed and refined by blowing inert gas as required. The molten Al is filtered by a filter made of a refractory material, and the oxide solid inclusion are removed, and the molten Al metal of high purity is recovered.</p> |
