FORMING APPARATUS FOR BENDING GROOVE IN FOAMED SYNTHETIC RESIN PLATE

PURPOSE:To cleanly and rapidly form a bending groove to a foamed synthetic resin plate like small wooden box material. CONSTITUTION:A grooving roll 1 having one or more annular blade 1a whose outer periphery is sharpened into a chevron shape formed thereon is supported on the circumferential part of a metal disc or cylinder in a state freely rotated by the shaft 3 piercing the parallel sides 2a, 2b of a steel support frame 2 having a horizontal U-shape planar shape so as to be positioned between the parallel sides 2a, 2b. This grooving roll 1 is heated to proper temp. by the ceramic heater 5 built in the support frame 2 to apply the annular blade 1a to a foamed synthetic resin plate 8 and, by moving the foamed synthetic resin plate 8 or the grooving roll 1, the foamed synthetic resin plate 8 is thermally melted by the annular blade 1a of the tumbling grooving roll 1 to form a bending groove 8a.
