PURPOSE:To prevent incomplete screwing due to unmatch between the centers of threaded sections of coupling and pipe and the center line by providing a circumferential floating mechanism and an angular floating mechanism. CONSTITUTION:After carrying a coupling B to face against a pipe A, an oil motor 5 is functioned to rotate a spindle 4 and a chuck 1 to be engaged through an Oldham's coupling to one end of said spindle through gears 6, 7. Upon movement of the pipe A to predetermined position through driving of D.C. motor 18, a circumferential floating mechanism comprised of a spring box 8 and a casing 11 is functioned. While upon reaching of the threaded section B' of coupling to the vicinity to contact against the threaded section A' of pipe, an angular floating mechanism comprised of a spherical face seat 10 and the body 12 is functioned. By means of said two mechanisms, the coupling can be advanced smoothly to predetermined position. |
