PURPOSE:To eliminate deviated wear, by axially feeding a rod in association with rotation of a bush about its shaft. CONSTITUTION:When an operating lever 46 is rotated clockwise, a rod 36 is projected from a bush 34 to axially move a movable rotating member 22 thereby to reduce a width of a V-shaped groove of a variable pulley 16. An axis of the rod 36 is registered with a phantom line extending from a straight line connecting an axis of a drive shaft 14 with an axis of a driven shaft, and is arranged inside of an effective diameter of the variable pulley 16. Accordingly, a force point of a side pressure of a transmitting belt 18 against the movable rotating member 22 comes to a position adjacent to the axis of the rod 36 receiving the movable rotating member 22, thereby eliminating twist between the movable rotating member 22 and the drive shaft 14 supporting the member 22, and deviated wear and noise due to the twist. |
