A filter (11) is passed by a liquid (10), bodies (16) located in the liquid being separated-off. The filter constitutes an upper bounding definition of a space (35) located beneath the filter, the space being alternatingly subjected to excess pressure and partial vacuum in relation to the region above the filter, for example in that the filter describes a reciprocal movement. The excess pressure is selected such that bodies (16) gathered against the upper face (13) of the filter are raised and/or released from the upper face of the filter.
