<p>PURPOSE:To provide a paper feed device which can eliminate inferior paper feed through which a recording sheet fed out from a paper feed cassette is not fed into a nip part where a separating pad is made into press-contact with a paper feed roller, or the sheet is folded. CONSTITUTION:Through the operation of loading a paper feed cassette into a paper feed device, a guide roller is led onto a guide rail disposed in the body of the paper feed device, and accordingly, a pressure plate 43 is raised so as to press recording sheets against the paper feed roller 3. Thus, the uppermost one of the sheets (p) is slightly moved in a downstream direction (d), and is held between the separating pad 2 and the paper feed roller 3 so that the leading end part of the sheet (p) is nipped.</p> |
