PURPOSE:To obtain a detergent composition consisting of an alkali metal hydroxide, a specific lactone compound and a salt of metal such as ammonium, cobalt, lead, tin and copper, excellent in washing effect and suitable for washing of various kinds of bottles or washing of various kinds of food equipments in beer factories. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition consists of (A) an alkali metal hydroxide such as sodium hydroxide, (B) a compound of formula I (X is H, ammonium, ethanolamine or metal; m is 1-3; n is 4 or 5) and (C) a salt of metal such as aluminum, cobalt, lead, tin and/or copper and is suitable for washing of a steel plate to which rolling oil is attached, articles bitterly stained by oil, etc. Furthermore, the compound of formula I is preferably gluconic acid, glucoheptonic acid or ammonium salt, ethanolamine salt or metallic salt thereof. |
