PURPOSE:To provide a deodorizing device for a vehicle air condition which is capable of generating sufficient high concentration of ozone to effectively perform disinfection, deodorization, and eliminating the need of a complex mechanism. CONSTITUTION:In a device for preventing odor generated from an evaporator 9 of a vehicle air conditioner, an ozone generating element 25 provided upstream of the evaporator 9, a humidity sensor 27 detecting that the surface of the evaporator 9 is wetted with condensed water, and an ozone-decomposing catalyst 29 provided downstream of the evaporator 9, are provided. Further, a control unit 31 for reducing the air quantity of a blower 7 up to a specified value for a necessary time interval when wetting of the surface of the evaporator is detected by the humidity sensor 27, and for generating ozone from the ozone generating element 25, is provided. |
