PURPOSE: To generate an alarm for safety when tilting of the vehicle is detected in the critical region of engine speed in a system where engine damage due to overspeed is avoided by implementing shift-down prevention when engine speed exceeds a critical limit. CONSTITUTION: Occasional engine speed and the shift level adopted at the occasion are inputted to a controller 1 respectively from an engine controller MS and from a shift control GS. The controller 1 also receives outputs from a potentiometer 3 to detect accelerator pedal position, dip (tilting) sensor NS, brake switch NS, and load sensor BZ to detect dead-weight. The controller 1 generates an optical or sound alarm signal to an operator alarm unit 2 judging the load condition in the critical engine speed region, when there is tilting of vehicle with a large load or with a small load but under extreme deceleration braking. |
