PURPOSE:To improve comfortableness of a passenger by providing a sitting detecting means, which detects sitting of the passenger when the passenger sits, in rear seat, and effecting correction such that an opposite phase steering amount of a rear wheel is reduced by means of a correction means which receives a detecting signal therefrom. CONSTITUTION:When a passenger is absent at a rear seat, and when a car runs at a low speed and a front wheel steering angle thetaH is high, a characteristic A is selected by a controller 26 based on a prestored map, and the target steering angle thetaR of a rear wheel is adjusted to a value a high opposite phase to the phase of a front wheel. Meanwhile, when a passenger is sitting at a rear seat, a rear seat switch 41 detects the state, and a detecting signal therefrom is inputted to a controller 26. In which case, the characteristic A of a map is varied to a characteristic B by a correcting means arranged in the controller 26, and the target steering angle thetaR is set to a low value. Thereby, a passenger is prevented from a feeling of physical disorder due to wide steering to the opposite phase of rear wheels 2L and 2R. |
