METHOD FOR CULTURING RECOMBINANT MICROBIAL CELL

PURPOSE:To efficiently produce a dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) or its derivative. CONSTITUTION:Escherichia coli is cultured at a low temperature (<=30 deg.C) and the culture temperature is then shifted to a high temperature (37-42 deg.C) in culturing the Escherichia coli having pTP64-1 or its derivative. Thereby, the intracellular production of the expressed DHFR or its derivative is increased.
