PURPOSE:To make always perfect cleaning possible by providing a cleaning means composed of a porous body having specific pore size and porosity and also having a structure where the pores of the porous body are integrally connected to each other in the porous body. CONSTITUTION:A porous body 13, which has 50mum and less pore size and 70% or more porosity and of which pores are integrally connected to each other in the porous body, is used as a cleaning means for cleansing the surface of a recording body after transfer. As materials for such porous body 13, polyurethane, sponge, polyvinyl alcohol, rubber, etc., are cited; but polyurethane porous material subjected to extrusion molding after addition of foaming agent thereto especially preferred because it varies little in pore size and has a large porosity. |
