COMPLEX MATERIAL AND ITS MANUFACTURE

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide composites improved in mechanical properties consisting of fiber and matrix by selecting length and aspect ratio of fiber. CONSTITUTION: In the composites, plural kinds of fibers selected in length are incorporated according to the newly established relation between elastic modulus and cohesive energy of fiber and matrix and critical fiber length. The composites may include means for changing one or more of the above properties in order to reduce the critical fiber length.
