PURPOSE:To obtain the subject recording medium free from nozzle-clogging trouble and bleeding phenomenon, having excellent fixability and stability and suitable for jet-recording, etc., by incorporating a heat-meltable solid substance with a dye compound consisting of a salt of a dye containing sulfonic acid metal salt group, etc., and a straight-chain alkylamine. CONSTITUTION:The objective recording medium contains preferably 1-8wt.% of a dye compound consisting of a salt of (A) a dye having SO3M or COOM group (M is alkali metal) and (B) a straight-chain alkylamine (e.g. hexylamine) in preferably 60-99wt.% of a heat-meltable solid substance such as lauric acid. The recording medium 13 is melted by heating with a heater 23 to generate a bubble 16 in the recording medium and the medium 13 is ejected through a nozzle 15 by the pressure of the bubble 16. |
