<p>PURPOSE:To reduce local wear and to prolong the life of a work roll by shifting and setting the shift position of a work roll having the shape of a bottle by a specified amount when a succeeding rolling condition is equal to a preceding rolling condition. CONSTITUTION:When a 3rd stand #3 is entirely different in rolling conditions such as the kind of steel and dimension of a rolled stock and the crown value of a target plate on the outlet side as a stand in which a CVC roll is used, and further different in a shift position against the work roll, the crown value C (j) of a target plate on the outlet side of the stand as indicated by a full line is set. While, when the succeeding rolling condition is equal to the preceding rolling condition and the shift position to the work roll is same, the crown value of the target plate on the outlet side of the 3rd stand is shifted by DELTAC in the range between the DELTACmax and DELTACmin as indicated by a broken line and the crown value of the target plate on the outlet side of the original 3rd stand is changed to (C 3+ or -DELTAC), and therby the rolling is carried out.</p> |
