PURPOSE:To enable image recording without irregular density. CONSTITUTION:In a recording device, a data corresponding to a recording image is given to an electrostatic recording sheet 3 to be sent, converted into a record signal of artificial multi-gradation by a conversion means 26-2, sent to an electrostatic recording head 27 which forms an electrostatic latent image which is developed by toner so as to record. In the head, a plurality of record electrode styluses 1 for applying record signal corresponding to the artificial multi-gradation data are arranged in a row. The styluses are divided into blocks. Control electrodes for supplying control voltage for operation of the electrostatic recording are arranged correspondingly at every block. The electrostatic latent image is formed in a position corresponding to the record electrode stylus to which the record signal is applied by driving the record electrode stylus in combination with the control electrode. Correction means 26-1 and 26-3 are provided for treating the signal of the record image with a predetermined image density irregularity correction corresponding to the position of each record electrode stylus of at least each block so as to send to the conversion means. |
