PURPOSE: To enhance treating effect by reducing the mean trauma-induced increase in blood brain barrier permeability and thereby efficiently reducing the rise in intracranial pressure. CONSTITUTION: The mean trauma-induced increase in blood brain barrier permeability is reduced and thereby the peak rise in intracranial pressure by administering an effective dose of an analog of amino acids 4-9 of adenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH) is significantly reduced.
