PURPOSE:To secure excellent damping performance against movements in vertical and lateral directions and also prevent buckling in lateral direction by providing pressing plates on both upper and lower ends of a bellows-type air spring and in the annular recesses at each stage of the air spring. CONSTITUTION:A bellows-type air spring is positioned between a truck and a body to damp movement of the body. In this case, pressing plates 3 and 4 are located on the upper and lower ends of the air spring, respectively. For multiple-stage air springs, the pressing plates 3, 4, and 5 are located on the upper and lower ends of the air spring and in the adjacent annular recesses 2a at each stage, respectively. Moreover, the pressing plates 3 to 5 forms a pressing part 6 of inclined or protruded surface on a surface made in contact with a bellows film 2. Further, the pressing plates 3 to 5 are made in contact forcibly with the bellows film 2 to hold the swelled part of the bellows film 2 from both upper and lower sides. Thus buckling of the bellows film 2 in lateral direction is prevented by the annular recesses 2a, and a restoring force relative to lateral movement is generated on both upper and lower ends, and a sufficient damping effect is produced in vertical direction. |
