PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a packaging work by controlling the applying of an electric current to a heater wire in such a manner that the applying of the electric current is done right before metal bars pinch a packaging material, for a sealing method for which a pair of metal bars are mutually approached, and a packaging material is welded by the power connection to a heater wire. CONSTITUTION:When a first switch 23 is closed by a first cam 30 by the rotation of a shaft 29, a 3-port valve 19 is switched over, and the discharge pressure of a compressor 18 is fed to the upper chamber 17 of an actuator 14. Therefore, a diaphragm 16 descends while resisting a spring, and a seal bar 12 is brought into contact with a sealing table 11, and a packaging material is pinched. Also, by a second cam 31, a second switch 28 is closed, and a heater wire 26 is heated by the power connection, and the packaging material is welded to seal a container. In this case, the second switch 28 is closed earlier than the first switch 23 by the cam 31, and the applying of an electric current to the heater wire 26 is done right before the seal bar 12 pinches the packaging material, and the pinching-holding time for the packaging material is shortened. |
