PURPOSE:To perform heat transfer printing operation in N-tuple mode to produce the prints free from greasing, tailing and void upon printing and having a high density and a high resolution. CONSTITUTION:A heat transfer method wherein a heat transfer sheet having a transfer ink layer fusible by heating on one side of the base material film is laid on the surface of printing material, the printing material is transferred at a higher speed than the heat transfer sheet and the heat printing is performed from the rear face of the heat transfer sheet is characterized by satisfying the relational expression (1) M=3X(n/N) wherein M(mum) is the thickness of the ink layer and (n/N) is the ratio of the transfer speed (n) of the printing material to the transfer speed (N) of the heat transfer sheet. |
