PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet printer of the on-demand type wherein a nozzle is not clogged and maintenance is not required practically. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a liquid chamber 2 filled with carrier liquid 7, ink jet drive means 3,4 provided in the chamber 2, a nozzle 14 communicating with the chamber 2, and a mixing section 14 for mixing ink 9 into carrier liquid 7 provided near the nozzle 14. And the ink 9 is mixed with the carrier liquid 7 of the chamber 2 at the section 14 and the mixed liquid is pressurized by the drive means 3,4 and delivered from the nozzle 14. Since the nozzle 14 is always filled with the carrier liquid 7, the nozzle 14 is not clogged. |
