PURPOSE:To provide an ink storing device wherein, in the case of feeding hot melt solid ink having a plurality of colors into an ink tank, if the hot melt solid ink having a plurality of colors is fed into an introducing passage, the ink can be supplied into each tank corresponding to each of its colors regardless of its different colors. CONSTITUTION:During the feeding of ink, if hot melt solid ink 2 having different shapes corresponding to colors is fed into an introducing passage 4, the colors of the ink are judged by sensors S1, S2 and the solid ink 2 whose color has been judged is fed into an ink tank 7 corresponding to its color from an open/ close lid 8 which is opened by a rotary solenoid 10 actuated in association with the sensors S1, S2, where the solid ink 2 is melted and stored therein. |
