PURPOSE:To provide an Na/S battery, which has the high safety and which can be manufactured easily without giving an influence to a solid electrolyte tube and a positive electrode container at the time of raising and lowering the temperature of a battery. CONSTITUTION:An Na/S battery consists of the negative electrode active material 7 essentially composed of Na, the positive electrode active material essentially composed of S or the dissolved salt such as sodium polysulfide, and the solid electrolyte 1, which is interposed between the negative electrode active material and the positive electrode active material and which transmits the Na ion. At this stage, a porous body 14 having a large aperture is installed between a solid electrolyte tube 1 and a positive electrode container 3 so as to be adjacent to the solid electrolyte tube 1, and a porous body 15 having a small aperture is installed to the periphery thereof, and furthermore, a porous body 16 having a large aperture is installed to the periphery thereof. |
