CONSTITUTION:A temperature information generation circuit 6 detects the temperature in a timepiece and outputs temperature information as N pulses and a temperature information converting circuit 7 comprises an offset adjusting circuit 70 for converting N pulses into the form of ¦N-NT¦ and an inclination adjusting circuit 71 for multiplying it by 128/K2, wherein NT is temperature information value at the top temperature thetaT and K2 is determined by the temperature coefficient in the clock rate. A temperature characteristic correction data generation circuit 8 outputs a temperature characteristic correction data corresponding to the temperature information conversion value (n) outputted from the temperature information conversion circuit 7. A logical advance/delay circuit 13 sets 1/32 frequency division circuit 20 of a frequency division circuit 2 for the advance or delay state determined by a data from a data select circuit 10 to adjust the clock rate.
