PURPOSE:To improve the picture quality of an output picture and to make the size and position of the picture clear by deleting a nonrectangular frame to a picture signal automatically and forming a frame simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:The processing unit is provided with a line sensor 13 receiving a picture and a power supply representing its surrounding, a frame detection circuit 24 detecting a border between the picture and the surrounding based on the inputted picture signal and a picture processing circuit 26 converting a power supply at the outside of the detected border into a specific signal and generating a picture signal representing a frame corresponding to the border. |
