PURPOSE:To attain efficient execution of high speed data input and its processing by combining a first-in/first-out fifo and a microprocessor dedicated to input processing. CONSTITUTION:Data sent from a facsimile equipment 10 passes through a data line 9 and latched to a fifo memory 7. The microprocessor 4 dedicated to input processing detects a status flag 11 and recognizes that data is fetched to the fifo memory when the status flag 11 is reset, the read permission line 5 is made active to read the data in the fifo memory 7 through an output data line 6, the processing commanded by a command is applied to the data to store an input data in a location commanded by the main storage 2 via a data port 3.
