PURPOSE:To enable an abnormality to be detected for protecting an inverter device by a current transformer(CT) which detects an input current in each inverter device of an air conditioner which is provided with a compressor having two systems of 3-phase coil windings independently. CONSTITUTION:Inverter devices 16 and 17 are connected to two systems of 3-phase coil windings of a compressor 15 for feeding power, respectively, and a commercial power supply 1 with a single phase 200V supplies power to the inverter devices 16 and 17. Also, a PWM waveform generation circuit 8 feeds a signal to base drive circuits 7 and 9 and the inverter devices 16 and 17 consists of a CTs 2 and 11, a rectification circuit, a smoothing circuit, a power transistor module, and base drive circuits 7 and 8. The CTs 2 and 11 are provided at the inverter devices 16 and 17, respectively, thus enabling an over current of the compressor to be reduced via each inverter device. |
