PURPOSE:To speedily display standby completion at the time point when the fixing temperature of a fixing device reaches a specified temperature and to prevent the fixing roll from being excessively heated over the necessary temperature. CONSTITUTION:Set time T (C) required for each peripheral surface temperature of the fixing roll 45A and a press roll 45B and the fixing roll 45A to reach each set temperature t (C deg.) and a set temperature t (C deg.) is inputted to a table memory beforehand and the completion of standby of the fixing device 45 is displayed on detecting either the set temperature t (C deg.) or the time T (C) determined according to size, the fixed color or the existence of gloss of a transfer material used for the fixing process.
