PURPOSE:To make an efficient suction of generated soot, smoke and the like, discharge it out of a room and to prevent a reversing flow of the surrounding atmosphere into the room by a method wherein a blower mechanism is arranged above a range, a duct having a suction port is connected at a position adjacent to the range, a eaves for restricting an ascending of oil smoke or the like for curving the surrounding atmosphere flowed down from the discharging port is arranged above the suction port and a shutter is rotatably arranged in the discharging elbow. CONSTITUTION:An interior of an outer casing 15 of a blower mechanism is partitioned by a partition plate 16, and a discharging fan 17 and an air feeding fan 22 are stored in it. When the discharging fan 17 and the air feeding fan 22 are rotated, the oil smoke generated over a range 40 is sucked into the suction port 41 and ascended up in the duct 38, passed through the discharging fan 17 and then the shutter 58 is released under the discharged air pressure and then the air is passed through an elbow 25 and discharged out of the room. The air sucked from the surrounding atmosphere under operation of air feeding fan 22 is blown off downwardly from the discharging port 32, struck against the eaves 46 and curved in a direction indicated by an arrow, restricts the ascending of the soot, smoke or the like from a pan 57 and then sucked into the suction port 41.
