<p>PURPOSE:To generate a stable and high pressure sealing condition by a simple operation by forming a stepped part to be joined with a lip end part of a packing on the inner diameter side of an annular tapered surface, and providing a locking edge to be locked on the stepped part to the lip end part. CONSTITUTION:A U-shaped packing member 3 where an internal cavity 10 is formed in the section is interposed between a pressing plate 1 which can be fitted/removed within a pipe body 8 and a receiving plate 2 which is engagingly locked and positioned outside the pipe end. Stepped parts 16, 17 to be joined with a lip end part 13 of the packing member 3 are formed on the inner diameter side of the annular tapered surfaces 6, 7 which are formed on the outer circumferential side of this pressing plate 1 and the receiving plate 2. A locking edge which is engagingly locked with the stepped parts 16, 17 is formed to the lip end part 13. Then, the packing member 3 is stably set between the receiving plate 2 and the pressing plate 1, and the joining seal for the inner surface of the pipe body 8 is stably achieved by a pushing action of the pressing plate 1. This arrangement allows the joining seal by the effective packing member 3 to be obtained by a simple constitution and operation.</p> |
