PURPOSE: To obtain a good sealing and good return of a liquid medium to the sealed direction by demarcating both ends in the axial direction of an outer ring with spacers placed at a distance in the circumferential direction, and making the spacers tightly abut on the end faces of an inner ring when the cassette seal is new and unused. CONSTITUTION: The cassette seal is used for sealing off the gap between a bore hole and a shaft. Both ends of the outer ring 5 in the axial direction is demarcated by a polymer spacers 12.1, 12.2 placed at a distance in the circumferential direction, and the spacers 12.1, 12.2. abut on the end faces 3.3, 3.4 of the inner ring 3.
