CORRECTING METHOD FOR HEIGHT OF NOZZLE OF ELECTRONIC COMPONENT MOUNTING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To correct the height of a nozzle without the intermediary of human hands and without stopping the operation of an installation when a suction defect is caused at the nozzle during the operation of the installation in an electronic component mounting machine. CONSTITUTION:The height of a nozzle whose suction defect has been caused is corrected automatically by the following: a first process 27 which detects the suction defect; a second process 28 which judges the defect of the nozzle on the basis of the counted result of the number of suction defects; a third process 29 which measures the height of the defective nozzle; a fourth process 30 which compares the measured result of the height of the nozzle with a predesignated value and which computes an error in the height of the nozzle; and a fifth process 31 which positions the nozzle in such a way that the nozzle becomes a predesignated height.
