METHOD FOR CONVERTING LOGICAL COLOR DATA/BINARY PHYSICAL COLOR DATA

PURPOSE:To provide a logical color data/physical color data conversion method for converting many-valued logical color data into binary physical color data. CONSTITUTION:A main processor 11 in an optical disk filing device 10 receives logical color data and LUT data from a personal computer 15 through a line control part 14. The main processor 11 converts the logical color data into many-valued physical color data in accordance with the LUT data. An image processor 12 converts the many-valued physical color data into binary physical color data (applying dither method) and then executes dot number conversion (expanding processing) in order to absorb a difference in the number of image dots between the personal computer 15 and the device 10. Thereby a color image formed by the personal computer 15 can be stored in an optical disk 17.
