PURPOSE:To provide the light pulse compression device which increases the frequency of reflection of light between dispersing media and does not require dispersing media in large shapes. CONSTITUTION:The light pulse compression device which expands the spectrum width of incident pulse light 100 by a frequency modulating means 50 and compresses the time width of pulse light, expanded in spectrum width, by the dispersing media is provided with the frequency modulating means 50, a 1st dispersing medium 51 which disperses its output light 101, a 2nd dispersing medium 52 which disperses the output light of the 1st dispersing medium 51, and a mirror 7 which reflects the output light of the 2nd dispersing medium 52 to the 2nd dispersing medium 52 while shifting it at right angles to the direction of the dispersion. |
