PURPOSE:To manufacture Mn-Zn ferrite powder which has no trace of mercury and has excellent magnetic characteristics by utilizing waste manganese cells as the raw material. CONSTITUTION:First, waste manganese cells (a) which are used as the raw material are dissolved in acid or the like in a step S1. Then flammable dissolution residues such as carbon rods and carbon in binder agent are filtered and separated in a step S2. In a step S3, metal iron powder is added to adjust the respective contents of Fe, Zn and Mn in the solution. Further, mercury in the solution which is reduced and deposited is separated and collected in a step S4. Finally, wet-type coprecipitation is performed in a step S5 to obtain Mn-Zn ferrite powder. |
