PURPOSE:To provide the optical disk having uniform characteristics in a recording region. CONSTITUTION:A light absorption layer 12 essentially consisting of dyestuff is provided directly or via a substrate layer 11 having a uniform thickness on a disk substrate 10 which is constituted with a molding resin and is previously formed with information pits and/or guide grooves on the front surface. Further, a metallic reflection film 14 having a uniform thickness is provided directly or via an under coat layer 13 having a uniform thickness thereon. As a result, the information pits and/or guide grooves 10A formed on the front side of the disk substrate 10 are formed to the depth increasing gradually from the inner peripheral side to the outer peripheral side and the depth of the recessed parts 12A on the front surface side of the light absorption layer is substantially uniformalized. |
