The threading comprises a number of threads of equal pitch, the threads having side portions defined as thread flanks. Each pair of thread flanks have two bisecting angles between them, each of the bisecting angles uniformly alternating between angles of 30 deg. and angles of less than 30 deg. The alternating angle of less than 30 deg. is between about 29.5 deg. and about 10 deg. The self-locking threading is incorporated on a screw, bolt or receiver such as a nut or tapped hole.
