摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To reduce the dot disturbance caused at a still picture horizontal edge part and to suppress the color spread by outputting selectively a mixing rate between a chroma signal and its peripheral picture element in response to the edge detected from a luminance signal when the chroma signal is interpolated by the peripheral picture element. CONSTITUTION:A selecting circuit 54 and an edge detecting circuit 56 are added to a line sequential color signal simultaneous circuit which is provided at the next stage of an interpolation circuit in order to apply the line sequential processing to a subsampled chroma signal at the transmission side and at the same time to demodulate the chroma signal at the reception side respectively. The circuit 54 outputs at least a chroma signal of a non-sample picture element Rx out of a chroma signal of a picture element R1 put on a line right above the element Rx and a chroma signal of a picture element R2 put on a line right under the element Rx. The circuit 56 detects the edge parts E0 and E1 of a luminance signal and controls the circuit 54 based on the edge detecting result. That is, the mixing rate of both peripheral picture elements R1 and R2 of the same color is adaptively selected and outputted in response to the edge detected out of the luminance signal when the element Rx is interpolated.</p>
