PURPOSE: To easily and inexpensively manufacture a contact element which can be easily installed in a holding socket and by which contact with a corresponding contact point is performed in small resistance. CONSTITUTION: Contact spring wire fractions 4 are arranged at prescribed intervals in parallel to each other, and a mat of contact springs is formed by joining a restricting band 8 to a place of at least one end part of these contact springs while the contact springs 4 are carried in the lateral direction to these axes. Next, the contact springs are curved in a bow shape in the perpendicular direction to a plane of the mat, and electroplating is performed on them, and the restricting band 8 is cut, and plural contact spring assemblies are formed. Afterwards, a contact element is manufactured by winding the contact spring assemblies in a cylindrical shape. |
