PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device which surely eliminates toner suspending around an exposure optical system without opening or closing the side surface of a copying machine main body. CONSTITUTION:Inclined counter electrodes 1 and 2 are installed between a photosensitive drum 8 and an optical system cover 9. The separating part 4 thereof is arranged on the drum 8 side and the approaching part 3 thereof is arranged on the cover 9 side. An AC voltage is impressed between the plate electrodes 1 and 2. By the action of an electric field, the toner suspending between the electrodes 1 and 2 is moved to the drum 8 side. It is good that the edge parts of the electrodes 1 and 2 are extended to the upstream side of an optical path. It is good that an electrical conductive coating part is formed on the surface of the cover 9 and the AC voltage is impressed on it. Besides, it is good that a latent image pattern that a stripe-like electrostatic charge part and a non-electrostatic charge part successively appear in the rotating direction of the drum 8 is formed on the drum 8 so that it is not superposed on an original image area and the voltage is impressed according to the latent image pattern. |
