<p>PURPOSE: To offer a circuit constitution for monitoring an electromagnetic clutch, which allows responsible monitoring at a low cost of engagement and disengagement of mechanical elements for coupling. CONSTITUTION: Effective current of AC supplied to a coil 1 of an electromagnet is equal to the rated current for engagement of the clutch when connected, on the other hand it is so small as the clutch is surely disengaged when the clutch is released. The feeder circuit includes a power source 3, a comparator 5, a reference voltage source 6 and an amplifier 8. Alternating current with specific frequency corresponding to the state of the clutch is formed in the coil 1, which is measured by a frequency measuring instrument 9, and compared to a reference frequency with respect to direction and amount of the deviation to give a signal on the position of the clutch.</p> |
