PURPOSE:To provide invariably proper line pressure by selecting either throttle opening signal on intake air quantity signal in response to operating conditions, and using the selected signal to control the line pressure. CONSTITUTION:Signals from a throttle opening sensor 12 (first engine load detecting means) and an intake air quantity sensor 14 (second engine load detecting means) are inputted to an electronic control device 10, and a signal is outputted to a line pressure control solenoid 16 (line pressure control means) to control the regulated line pressure. When the change speed of the throttle opening is smaller than a preset value, the line pressure is controlled based on the signal from the intake air quantity sensor 14. When it is larger, the line pressure is controlled based on the signal from the throttle opening sensor 12. The line pressure correctly corresponding to the engine output can be provided. |
