This alloy includes 35 % to 95 % by weight of a complex boride of the WCoB type in a cobalt-based alloy and includes 1.5 % to 4.1 % of boron, 19.1 to 69.7 % of tungsten, optionally 1 to 25 % of chromium, the remainder consisting of cobalt and of a maximum quantity of 1 % of impurities; it being possible for nickel, iron and/or copper to replace a certain quantity of the cobalt. Application: production of an alloy exhibiting improved properties at low temperature and high temperature.
